SwipeClean — Privacy Policy

SwipeClean does not collect your data. It has no account, no server, and no analytics. Your photos, videos and contacts are read on your iPhone, used to show you what is taking up space, and never sent anywhere — not to us, and not to any third party.

What the app accesses, and why

Data we collect
None. We do not collect, receive, store, sell, share or transmit any personal data. Specifically:
- There is no user account and no sign-in of any kind.
- There is no server. The app makes no network requests, so there is nothing for us to receive.
- There is no analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking SDK in the app.
- We do not use your data for advertising and we do not track you across apps or websites, as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.
- No photo, video, contact, or any part of one is ever sent to us or to a third party.
Third parties
There are none. SwipeClean does not use any third-party service, API, AI provider or SDK that receives your data. All analysis — including duplicate detection and background removal — runs on your device using Apple's own on-device frameworks, which do not send your content off the device.
What is stored on your device
The app keeps a small amount of information in its own private container on your iPhone so it can remember where you left off:
- Which items you kept or marked for deletion in each pile.
- Counts of what you have cleaned so far.
- Items you chose to set aside, and your reminder settings.
- Fingerprints used to spot duplicates, cached so a rescan is faster.
All of this is deleted when you delete the app. None of it leaves your device.
Deleting photos and contacts
SwipeClean never deletes anything on its own. Photos you swipe left on are only marked; they are moved to the Photos app's Recently Deleted album after you review the pile and confirm, and iOS asks you one final time. Photos holds them for 30 days, and only you can empty that album.
Contacts you choose to delete or merge are changed immediately in your address book, and — if you sync contacts with iCloud, Google or another provider — that change will sync to those services through iOS, not through us. Contact deletion cannot be undone from within SwipeClean.
Children
SwipeClean is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
Your rights
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or erase. To remove everything the app stores locally, delete the app from your iPhone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated date at the top.
